This Saturday Feb 7th was Everglades Awareness day. There was a festival, with all kinds of exhibits and wildlife. The kids really enjoyed themselves. It was just nice to be outside and see all the natural wildlife. We did alot of walking though! Unfortunately we did not see any gators (it was not from a lack of looking) We did see a turtle, some really neat snakes, a possum, and some really neat birds. Here is a picture of a Heron just looking around.
I am living in South Florida with my wonderful husband of 9 + years and my 4 children. We moved to Florida almost 4 years ago to escape the brutal winters in the northeast and for a new experience. I miss my family alot, but the weather down here makes up for some of it.
We moved down to Florida as a family of four. Much to our surprise, after two years here, we found out we were pregnant....with twins. Now we are a family of six, which makes me very happy.
